Pastors, wives open up on sex life

Toyin-Kehinde-and-Adewale1-360x225
You see him on Sunday morning well dressed in his three piece suit and looking freshly anointed.
The picture you see is that of a cherub, who has just arrived from the heavens with a message for the people and would be back there soon after.
Once he starts to preach, the congregation is overwhelmed with the awe he exudes. Because this is all they know about him, some followers believe that is all about the pastor.
Ask some Christians and they will bet their life savings that their pastors have never visited the toilet, not to talk of having sex.
Where on earth do they have the time for such things, they seem to assert in illusion.
They base their judgement on the fact that usually, a pastor is seen praying, preaching or counselling; so the average congregant believes he must be a super being, who never answers to any call of nature – especially sex.
The pastor is perhaps the most misunderstood and over-rated being on earth today.
He is rated as a semi-god, incapable of enjoying the pleasures that life presents him. This is so because he rarely talks to his adherents about other areas of his life.
Saturday PUNCH asked some pastors and pastors’ wives if they have erotic feelings and sexual closeness with their spouses like other people.
They said the illusion that pastors don’t have sex life only lies in the minds of few ignorant congregants.
“Sex is a beautiful gift from God within the marriage context. It is not possible for my husband not to have sex. He feels the same way other men feel because he is human. It is the food of our marriage just as food is to the body. We make it a regular affair because the absence of it can negatively affect our relationship and even his work as a pastor,” said Pastor (Mrs.) Kemi Olofinkua of the New Anointing Deliverance Church, Anifowose, Ikeja, Lagos.
She said that both she and her husband do not take sex for granted because starving one another could cause a scandal, especially if not properly managed.
She said that she seldom turned down her husband’s invitation because strange women would willingly offer themselves if allowed.
Olofinkua said, “People who think pastors don’t have sex must be funny. No matter the level of anointing, a pastor needs his wife at home. The difference between a pastor and other men is that he can cope whenever his work demands that he abstains from sex.
“But it is dangerous to make him burn with desire for sex without satisfying it with his wife. If this happens, he could be pushed out into the waiting arms of many others because pastoral work usually endears pastors to people – men and women. As a pastor’s wife, I don’t take my husband’s sexual need for granted. When he beckons,  no matter how tired I am, I don’t turn him down.”
Similarly, Pastor Mrs. Shade Toyin-Kehinde said it is a fallacy to think or say that pastors don’t have sex with their wives.
She said, “Pastors are not woods. It is the same with pastors as it is for other men. Sex is an integral part of every marriage. It is anti-god to wish it away. A healthy, regular sex is important to pastors because it makes them to maintain focus and avoid falling on the laps of other desperate women, who wish to have them because of the glory on them.”
She said that she makes it a point of duty to ‘serve’ her husband, especially after he has done great spiritual exploits, adding that a pastor who has a poor sexual relationship with his wife would engage in extra-marital affairs.
She said, “If your wife has just served you hot pounded yam and egusi soup before leaving home and someone then offers you beans, you will naturally turn down the offer because you’re satisfy. I don’t joke with my sexual relationship with my husband and I never say no to him.”
Toyin-Kehinde, who is the wife of the Pastor in charge of Agape Generation International Church, Maryland, Lagos, said there should be no week without sex between a pastor and his wife. She said a healthy sex in marriage enhances holiness.
She said, “The anointing attracts goodwill and people. Some women in church get so carried away that they tell the pastor ‘I just like you.’ The pastor’s wife must help her husband to overcome these overtures by being there for him.
“My husband doesn’t flirt but we have devised means to stay close always. Our offices are just side-by-side. When a woman comes to him for counselling and she is not properly dressed, he directs her to me. We preach healthy sex in marriage and we practise it.”
She said it is unfortunate that some pastors pretend to be too busy to enjoy sex in marriage.
84-year-old pastor shares experience
Speaking from a male pastor’s viewpoint, 84-year-old clergyman, Rev. Moses Iloh, who is a Senior Pastor at Soul Winning Chapel, Ebute Meta, Lagos, offered personal love experience.
Having been married to his wife, Love, for 48 years, he said that a healthy sexual relationship, among other things, has made him a very happy man.
He said that the secret of the erotic relationship between him and his wife is doing everything together.
Iloh said, “When we are 50 years in marriage, we will get married again; we did same when we turned 25.
“From the first day of marriage, we bathed together, ate together, shared the same bedroom. Our bodies belong to one another. With these activities, there can be no barriers to a good sex relationship. We don’t starve ourselves of sex,” he said.
Iloh regretted that some pastors allow themselves to be overtaken by temptation because they neglect their wives in the name of being busy.
He said, “It is foolish for a pastor to abandon his wife because he is doing God’s work. His wife is his priority.
“If you take good care of your wife, she will make love to you willingly. That is what I have been doing. I am 84 and very agile, happy because I have a happy home. Matrimony is the happiest thing that happened to me. My wife is not around now but wherever I am, I am always rushing home to be with my wife, friend and confidant.
“People who run into hurting relationships are open to illnesses and may die young. They should seek help.”
‘Pastors crave more sex than others’
Another male pastor, Pastor Bisi Adewale, said that nothing could be farther from the truth than believing that pastors do not have sex with their wives.
He said pastors crave sex just like every other man and there should not be any pretence about it.
“My wife is not available right now; she would have told you more. Pastors demand for sex more than men who are not pastors because they have only one wife to turn to. The fact that we are pastors doesn’t eliminate our biological make up. There should be no pretence about this matter.
“I heard of a pastor who said he was looking for God’s power and abstained from his wife for more than 10 years and a prominent pastor in the country had to travel to Port Harcourt to settle the issue. His wife needed him, but he wasn’t there. He didn’t get her consent to go on a long period of abstinence to fast and pray to seek the power of God. His wife had to resort to the use of vibrator.”
He gave another instance when a pastor abstained from his wife for a long time to seek power until  his mechanic impregnated his wife.
He said that pretending about the need for sex is a major cause of scandals in ministries and it should be avoided.

INEC declares Ondo by-election inconclusive

INEC-Logo
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared saturday House of Representatives by-election that held at Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in Ondo State inconclusive.
The difference in total votes between Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is 1300, while the rejected votes was more than 1800.
This, according to the Returning Officer for the Poll, a Professor from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Babatunde Adeyemi has violated the electoral law.
Adeyemi explained that the margin of votes between contestants must be more than the number of votes cancelled.
Already, INEC has compiled other results for the remaining wards in the two local governments.
The results are as follow: ACD-137, APC- 9232, DPP-278, LP-23926, PDC-173, PDP- 22628 and PPA -81 votes.
However, Adeyemi said INEC will look into the disruption of Arugbo ward 2 election, which was allegedly hijacked by suspected militants on the waterways.
The returning officer said, it would be wrong for the electoral powerhouse not to allow electorates from Arugbo ward 2, who were about 7000 to take part in the election.
It was learnt that the hoodlums allegedly disrupted the election because the said ward was a stronghold of the PDP in the Council area.

“I have never been poor,” Mr. Okupe boasted

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe, on Friday thumped his chest over his rich background, saying he has never known poverty in his life and apparently does not understand what it means to be poor.
“I have never been poor,” Mr. Okupe boasted on twitter during a discussion on the recent comment by the President of the World Bank, Jim Yong Kim, who said the largest chunk of the world’s poorest people are concentrated in Nigeria and four other countries. “My father was one of the richest of his time. He even owned a bank. I qualified a doctor and a successful one.”
Mr. Okupe (@doyinokupe) had taken to Twitter to disparage media reporting of Mr. Kim’s comment, claiming that the World Bank’s President did not classify Nigeria as poor.
The presidential spokesperson made the claim even when the full transcript of Mr. Kim’s address at the Council For Foreign Relations, where he made the speech, is available in text, audio and video.
“World Bank recently classified Nigeria as a medium income economy,” Mr. Okupe argued. “How on earth can World Bank classify China the second largest world economy as extremely poor?”
But some of his followers, apparently irritated by his argument, quickly took him to task, asking him whether, without being told, he did not know that poverty is widespread and endemic in Nigeria.
“Nigeria or China as a nation is not poor but 80% of Nigerian citizens are poor. Are you such disconnected from the society?” a London-based economist, Ike Okeke (@comradop), asked.
Mr. Okupe responded by saying, “I have never been poor. My father was one of the richest of his time. He even owned a bank. I qualified a doctor and a successful one.”
Mr. Okeke then shot back saying Mr. Okupe could have inherited a fortune from his parents but that not many Nigerians were that lucky.
“No doubts about your generational wealth but how many Nigerians are privileged like you? The report (on the World Bank President’s comment) is a call for more work by government,” the economist said.
The presidential aide responded, “It is well taken. Just believe me when I tell you that this president is grossly underestimated. Everything is being done to turn things around.”
Before getting into the exchanges with Mr. Okeke, Mr. Okupe had raged in a series of tweets, accusing the Nigerian media of distorting news items to disparage the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
He claimed that the administration was doing excellently well, buildings railways and roads and repositioning the economy.
At a point, one Seun Ejiade (@ejiadeoluseun) challenged him to stop whining, and rather go to central Lagos, which has a large population of poor people, to test his popularity.
“Shut up and let’s have some peace,” Mr. Ejiade said. “Stop with the lies, like we don’t live in 9ja? Go to Obalende with your drivel and see the reception you get.
“Instead of addressing issues dogging us in Nigeria, like unemployment, you choose to tweet about World Board’s assertions. And you are supposed to advise GEJ?”
That comment apparently irked Mr. Okupe, who charged back: “You hate the truth and facts irritate you. You are a shame to your generation. You cannot be part of the future we hope for. Mr. big mouth.”
Mr. Ejiade responded by saying, “I’m a part of the future which you are not going to be in…. why? Cos you would be dead.”
As the discussions progressed, another of Mr. Okupe’s followers asked him to disclose how much he earns in salary and allowances.
A Mr. Alapata 2.0 (@BolajiBolaji2) said, “Please sir, can you tell us about your salary and allowances for the sake of transparency and accountability? Thank you.”
Mr. Okupe answered, “I don’t have a special salary. I am a senior special assistance (SSA) to the president. Write to SGF (Secretary to the Government of the Federation). You ‘ll get what SSA is paid.”

Euro is an Overvalued Momentum Trade – Equation #2 Says So

Quotable
“Those who have knowledge, don’t predict. Those who predict, don’t have knowledge. ”
Lao Tzu, 6th Century BC
Commentary & Analysis
Euro is an Overvalued Momentum Trade – Equation #2 Says So
On Tuesday I shared with you an equation which sufficiently explained why capital flow was a valid rationale for the rally in the euro against the US dollar.
But what if the capital flow equation was simply an analytical fit to a flawed story?
I ask because there is another equation I want to share with you today. And I believe it boils all this stuff to its essence: Sentiment based on our flawed forecasts of the future.
“Expectations relate to expectations and the prevailing bias can validate itself almost indefinitely.”
George Soros, Alchemy of Finance
The currency equation of expected total return:
↑Expected Total Return = ↑Interest Yield + ↓Inflation + ↑Future Exchange Rate
This equation says the primary rationale for holding a particular currency is to maximize total return, and expected total return is a function of the real yield achieved (nominal interest rates minus the inflation rate) and the future exchange rate (that which we are trying to forecast).
We know higher real yields and rising exchange rates attract speculative capital flow. It only makes sense; but logically isn’t it circular reasoning?
In other words …
Do rising real yields cause the exchange rates to rise … or is it a rising exchange rate, impacting the fundamentals, which forces interest rates to rise?
Remember, in the real world economics is filled with feedback loops rarely discussed by academics or those who fall in love with their stories. This is why it is so painfully difficult to determine which variables lead and which follow.
A second problem with the equation above is this: We cannot forecast interest rates. Period.
“There is an old Sufi tale about a mullah (Nasruddin) who was discovered by a passer-by searching in the dust outside his house. What was he looking for, the stranger enquired. A key, said the mullah. Where did he drop it? “In the house” replied the mullah. Then why was he looking in the dust outside? Because here he was in bright sunlight, whereas in the house it was dark and difficult to see.
“It happens to us all the time. The solution to worthwhile problems is never out there in the open. The key to financial markets is elusive. It must be so – by definition. The price-discounting mechanism ensures that the majority are always looking out there in broad daylight, when the key is somewhere else, in the shadow.
John Percival, The Way of the Dollar
So, we started off with a seemingly simple and sensible equation. But in this short time I think I have shown it is neither simple nor sensible.
So where does this leave us?
I am not sure where it leaves you. But it leaves me with this conclusion:
Currency trading, unlike other asset classes, is primary a sentiment-driven vehicle. [John Percival recognized sentiment should be the primary focus of currency analysis decades ago. It took many bumps and bruises and self-proofs in the way of lost money for it to sink in deeply with me.]
And though we should monitor things like yield differential and economic growth and capital flows closely, we should not attempt to forecast that stuff. Let others do all the forecasting. We need only concentrate on two things: 1) the consensus rational and 2) potential for surprise to the consensus rationale.
“Our success or failure will rest on our ability to anticipate prevailing expectations and not real-world developments.”
George Soros, The Alchemy of Finance
Let’s use the euro as an example …
It seems the consensus if focused on capital flow, as I discussed on Tuesday. But at some point fairly early in the latest leg up in the euro, which I measure from around July 2013, conversion flow to this rationale was becoming publicly known.
Rationales tend to grow stale, as we all know they don’t last—things change over time no matter how “correct” the rationale was early in the trade. When these rationales grow stale it doesn’t mean the trend is over. For higher prices tend to beget higher prices (and vice versa to the downside) precisely because players become more confident in their stale rationale and add to positions. Plus, pure price led traders hop on for the ride.
A simple self-reinforcing trend, which includes rising prices (in this case for EUR/USD) and rising sentiment, is seen in increased positioning.
Assessing this is the part which Soros talks about, i.e. “our ability to anticipate prevailing expectations.” Once again, even if we know a rationale is stale, it doesn’t mean we can predict when the trend will end. But we can remain wide open to new information and watch the technical character of the market (key days; confluence resistance on wave analysis; divergence in momentum, etc.). And we can create scenarios of potential new rationales that might emerge, and trigger a change in sentiment and the start of a new trend in the opposite direction.
In the case of the euro, the potential new rationale is actually a tried and true rationale. Traders have used in the past – it is yield differential.
Maybe yield differential is that fundamental measuring rod that helps us determine when a momentum trade on a stale rationale is long in the tooth. Below is the current example which I shared with my Black Swan Forex clients this morning. [Note: We got short the euro today before the ECB announcement. Not always the smartest thing to do given whipsaw potential, but it is working nicely so far].
I have shared this chart in the past, and the divergence has grown since then:
Eurozone vs. United States: 2-yr Benchmark Yield Spread (purple line) vs. EUR/USD (green line)
Will traders switch back to this rationale and abandon the momentum trade on capital flow? That I don’t know. But, based on the chart below, I like the potential …
If the EUR/USD trend is changing, guess what: Yield differential and the future exchange rate will ensure you a higher total return if short.
See how easy this is?

Forex Snapshot: Global Manufacturing PMI

What the heck is a manufacturing PMI report and why are they important for investors? Let’s take a look at the latest manufacturing PMI releases of the major economies.

What the heck is a PMI report?!

A purchasing managers index (PMI) report is simply a measure of business conditions in an industry taken some time in the middle of the month. In a manufacturing PMI report, a few hundred purchasing managers from the manufacturing industry are asked about their opinions on issues such as employment, inventory levels, new orders, and state of production and supplier deliveries.
An index reading of 50.0 and above hints at optimism among the manufacturers, which could lead to industry expansion. Consequently, a reading of 49.9 and below denotes pessimism and a possible contraction in the manufacturing sector.
Let’s take a look at how the major economies are doing so far this year!

Asian Economies

Asian Economies Manufacturing PMI

Japan’s numbers started the year on a weak note as heavy snow hit some areas. What’s more troubling though, is that it’s still declining despite the production demand ahead of their sales-tax hike. China’s official and HSBC readings are also slowly slipping, which is prompting speculations that China’s Q1 2014 growth could come in below the government’s estimates.

European Economies

European Economies Manufacturing PMI

One look at the chart above tells us that manufacturing in France and the euro zone are on its way to recovery. In fact, France had just posted its fastest growth rate since June! Unfortunately, the optimism is offset by weakening production in Germany, the region’s largest economy. This is probably why investors are still on the lookout for signs of more stimulus from the ECB. Meanwhile, the U.K.’s manufacturing figures suggest that while the industry is still expanding, it’s now doing so at a slower pace.

North American Economies

North American Economies Manufacturing PMI

Manufacturing in Canada and the U.S. both took a tumble as the region got hit by heavy snow in the first months of 2014. Both their charts are looking promising though, with Canada getting a boost from new orders and a weaker currency while the Uncle Sam is just plain on its way to recovery.
Of course, the charts above are just the first readings this year. It would be interesting to revisit these charts once Japan has implemented its sales-tax hike; China is over its holiday production lags, and the North American region isn’t plagued by severe snow storms. For now though, I hope these charts give you a good snapshot of how the manufacturing sectors of the major economies are faring so far this year.

IS IT TRUE APRIL IS REALLY FOUL?

U can't just fool some people on APRIL FOOLS' DAY.... Last year April 1st.. A woman wanted to play a prank on her husband to know how her hubby would react if she left without telling him where she had gone. So she decided to write him a letter saying she is tired of him and didn't want to live with him any more and after writing she put the letter on the table in the bedroom before hiding under the bed.......When her hubby came back home, he saw the letter and read it, then he also wrote something on it then began to sing and dance, changing his clothes. He got his phone, dialed someone then said: "Hey babe, am just changing clothes then will join you, as for my old madam, it has finally dawned on her that I was fooling around with her all dis while and has left. I was really wrong to have married her, I wish I had known you earlier. See you soon honey!". The hubby then walked out of the room. In tears and very upset, the woman got up from under the bed and decided to go and read what the hubby wrote on the letter. It reads: "Madam April fool....I COULD see your feet under d bed, I am going to buy bread. Stand up & fry egg 4 me,I beg stop dis your silly games and go prepare me a meal!

SENT TO ME FROM A FRIEND !!!

Have you ever heard the story of the giant ship engine that failed? The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.
Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.
"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"
So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."
The man sent a bill that read:
Tapping with a hammer ............ ......... ..... $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap ............ ......... ....... $ 9,998.00
GRAND TOTAL ……………………………………………$10,000.00
Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference.
I pray GOD to always give us the insight to know WHERE TO TAP whenever we are faced with the dangers and WORRISOME SITUATIONS associated with the DECISIONS of today. May the good Lord always bless our effort when we know where to tap, (through His grace), may He lead and direct us on how to do the tapping.
Have a greatly rewarding and fruitful month.
